I said my goodbye to the kitten this morning. You see- he will not be there with his ‘where have you been all day leaving me all alone?’-meows and ‘take me on your lap now!’-meows today when I get back home from work.

He is going to his cat boarding for the next four days today while we will be ‘vaca-ing’ at the blues and greens. I told him that he was as much going for a vacation as we were. It’s like camping- he’ll meet some new kittens to play with; and I hope he enjoys his time out as much as we do ours.

It’s not easy being a ‘kitten-parent’- you see- but it’s enjoyable nonetheless. Did you know he has a special meow for me and another one for Shaam? For him, I am ‘meow-weow’ and Shaam is mmeooow. Do you understand how ‘rewarding’ it is to have a furball around who adores you just as much as you adore him?

Lastly- if you have never tried taking to your cat, let me tell you that you are missing out on something wonderful. I am convinced that my cat understands human language and it is a source of great pleasure for me to realize time and time again that he, too, is trying to tell me things… and understanding what he is saying? Priceless.
